Can I apply for a fellowship in the country I am currently living in, or my country of origin?
PREPARED applies the MSCA Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions mobility rules. This means that you cannot have resided or had your main activity (e.g work, study) in the country where you apply for a fellowship for more than 12 months in the three years leading up to the call deadline of 16th April 2025.
I am submitting (or already have submitted) an application for another Marie Sklodowska-Curie fellowship. Can I still apply for a PREPARED fellowship?

Can I submit more than one application to the currently open call for proposals?
You can submit more than one application to the call for proposals but each application must be for a different topic with a different supervisor. You cannot submit the same proposal with different supervisors listed for the same project. You must ensure you have the support of each of the selected supervisors for the different applications. You must also ensure you meet the mobility criteria for each of the fellowship locations.
What happens after I submit my application?
You will receive an acknowledgment of your completed application. Your application will be checked to ensure you meet the eligibility criteria. The ethical aspects of your proposal will be checked and if necessary, reviewed by the PREPARED Research Ethics Committee. If all checks are successful, your project will then be reviewed by three independent reviewers. Based on scores allocated by reviewers, projects will be shortlisted and successful applicants at this stage will be called to interview. Following the interview stage, scores from the reviewers will be added to scores from the interview board to create your final score. All scored applications will be ranked and up to three applicants will be offered fellowship contracts.
How will my application be reviewed and scored?
Three independent peer reviewers with no conflict of interest will review your proposal and score it in accordance with the criteria outlined in the Guide for Applicants here.
When will I find out the results of the application process?
Applicants will be informed throughout the process as their application moves through the different stages. We anticipate that all reviews will be completed by the end of May 2025 with interviews taking place by the end of June 2025, and fellowship offers being made in July 2025.
If I am successful in securing a PREPARED fellowship, when will I start?
